National Chain or Franchise
If you own or operate a national chain or franchise, Clarovista can help. We are able to work with corporate advertising & compliance departments to create advertisements for the local market. This can include radio & tv commercials, magazine, newspaper, and flyers, and signage. We strictly adhere to set brand standards. Our work looks indistinguishable from work done by the corporate design department. See the work we did for TGI Friday’s Conway. (click on the “clients” tag or search TGI Fridays)

So, just what is new media? Well, its actually a lot of things and it isn’t “new” any more. New media referes to the use of digital, two-way communication established between the brand and the consumer.
In the past, brands relied on traditional media, like: newspapers, magazines, radio and tv commercials, billboards, movie theater ads, and branded packaging to communicate its message to consumers. With the invent of the Internet, new opportunities have increased at an exponential rate. New media offers digital, direct marketing opportunities such as: interactive websites, podcasts, blogging, social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), text message marketing, email direct marketing, Internet ad buys (Google Ad Words), mobile applications (iPhone & Blackberry applications), viral video (YouTube), photo sharing (Flickr), and user generated platforms like social groups. Its important to note that, these channels must facilitate two-way communication between the brand and the consumer to be “new media” and to be effective.
Although Twitter has been around for a few years, its just now becoming a mainstream method for connecting with people around a topic or brand. Most brands have not fully realized the potential of utilizing Twitter.
For example, many Twitter users tweet their daily activities. This might be interesting if your a CEO or celebrity, it’s not likely to be effective for us ordinary folk. The question you have to ask yourself is, “why would someone want to follow me?”
Small businesses have found success tweeting specials and promos to their local neighborhood. Twitter is meant to invoke action. So, if a small bakery tweets “half price donuts now til ten,” then it’s meant to encourage local consumers to stop by and “act now.”
There are no “right or wrong” ways to use Twitter. There are; however, best practices and strategies to make your tweets interesting, effective, and successful.
Brands are flocking to Facebook at record rates and there are many ways, in which they are utilizing Facebook. Most, by this time have a Facebook Page. A Facebook Page allows the brand be “fan” consumers. Brands can send updates, create events, post photos and videos, and receive feedback from fans.
How does a business get the most from Facebook? Well, start by practicing good “social etiquette.” Facebook and other social media sites are just that – social. When a brand starts “pushing their product” consumers get frustrated and un-fan the brand. If you operate a retail store and have a Page on Facebook, our advice would be to go easy on “specials, promos, coupons, ads, etc” but rather communicate with your consumers about what’s going on. This might be “what’s going on in the community,” “what’s going on with the people that work there,” or other sociable items. Its quite proper to promote your product or service and even to give your fans specials. The key is to remember “the place” and have a strategy that fits.
Text Message Marketing
Text message marketing, or SMS refers to the ability to communicate with consumers via texting. If you’re not familiar with text message marketing, give it a try. Text “clarovista” to 74700 or click here.
You’ve probably have been asked to do something similar on the radio. Marketers use SMS for special promotions and short campaigns. PK’s (a women’s boutique clothing store in downtown Conway) offers special discounts to members of their texting club. Bartlett’s (an automotive service center in Heber Springs) offers the chance to win free oil-changes and discounts on automotive services. There are a number of ways brands can use SMS to engage consumers and interact with them on mobile devices. One way, is integrating the SMS system into your website / customer database. Once a transaction occurs, the system can automatically send the consumer a confirmation text.
Mobile Applications
Do you own a smartphone? Chances are you do, or soon will. Mobile phone subscribers in the United States are flocking to smartphones. The iPhone (APPLE) and Blackberry (RIM) dominate market share and each day, more consumers flock to web-capable, smartphone devices.
If you have a smartphone, think about the number of bookmarked sites or applications you have installed on your device. Most of us would be lost, if we didn’t have our phone with us at all times. Marketers know this and they’re creating ways to interact with you, on your device.
Having a branded presence on consumer devices can be a strong, brand reinforcer. Clarovista can help you build a branded application that will allow users to interact with your brand, on their mobile device. There are two options. 1) We can create a mobile website that is tailored to fit on mobile devices. 2) We can create a full-fledge mobile application that can fully utilize the devices processor power, memory, and interface.
